Just below the sky walk you find the training- and family via ferrata “KNOTT”. The access and the descent are short, so the via ferrata is easy to reach. The via ferrata "KNOTT" has one short connector route, a 20 m long suspended bridge, two steep ladders and four routes. The six routes "Sally", "Turtle", "Affele" and "Rocky" show simple routes, difficult passages, exposed tracks and technical sections.
From the Texel cable car you can walk to the entrance of the via ferrata, which will be newly opened in 2020, in just over an hour. It leads with rope bridges and flying fox over the Ziel river to the actual entry point of the via ferrata.
A via ferrata is a perfect alternative for people who want more than just walking uphill but who don’t fancy the
thrill of rock climbing. These iron ladder path allow mountain walkers to follow spectacular routes that would normally have needed considerable
climbing skills. An experienced Alpine Guide will go together with you and teach you the basic techniques. This will help you to become
skilful in order to enjoy these open walking and scrambling routes in safety.
For children from 8 to 14 we offer special easy ways in the Dolomites and the Adige valley:
Cirspitzen, Masare/Rotwand, Burrone Canyon, Rio Secco
Family rock climbing is a great way to experience the adventure of rock climbing, under the close supervision of a certified mountain guide. This program is for families with kids age 14 and younger who are looking to learn a new sport or just get outside for the day to try something new. The small, but noble climbing garden called 'Burgstollknott' in Partschins is suitable for beginners.
