1. day: | Course day on an easy via ferrata with step training and safety technology, equipment and material science. |
2. day: | A via ferrata is climbed independently with the mountain guide. |
Just below the skywalk you find the training- and family via ferrata “KNOTT”. The access and the descent are short, so the via ferrata is easy to reach. The via ferrata "KNOTT" has one short connector route, a 20 m long suspended bridge, two steep ladders and four routes. The six routes "Sally", "Turtle", "Affele" and "Rocky" show simple routes, difficult passages, exposed tracks and technical sections.
Date: 14 - 18 June and 13 - 17 September
One of the greatest thrills a hiker can have is to walk or climb a via ferrata, the “iron paths” in the surrounding of Merano. Traveling on a via ferrata is a different way of enjoying the sheer magnificence of the mountains, providing access to places normally reserved for rock climbers and mountaineers. In this awesome mountain environment, you will be stopped in your tracks by amazing views, from a perspective that few have the opportunity to experience.
